U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and National Security Advisor visited the Russian Federation from 2 to 5 December 2018 as Special Envoy of the State Counsellor. The Union Minister met with Mr. Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of Russia in Moscow on 3 December.

They discussed issues related to Myanmar-Russia security cooperation as well as cooperation in international for a. The Union Minister apprised the Secretary on Myanmar Government’s efforts for national reconciliation.
