Russian Energy Week Int’l Forum: Myanmar Delegation Led By Union Ministers Attended
The forum was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, ministers from over 60 countries, diplomats and partners from CIS, parliamentarians from foreign countries, heads of State and regional organizations and officials.
The attendees observed the modernized display booths and replicas exhibited in 6th Russian Energy Week International Forum, raised queries on what they wanted to know and took the documentary photos.
Myanmar delegation led by the Union Ministers took part in the discussion under the topic of “Technological Sovereignty and Low-Carbon Energy: Looking to Tomorrow”. The officials attended the forum participated in the discussion in rotating.
Next, Myanmar delegation met with General Director of Rosatom Mr. Alexey Evgenievich Likhachev, discussed the matters on giving training for human resources of Electric Power sector of Myanmar and signed MoU for Nuclear Infrastructure with the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Then, Myanmar delegation attended plenary session of 6th Russian Energy Week International Forum. Russian Energy Week International Forum was initiated in 2017 and the solution for the most critical problems in Energy sector, world order, climate, development of science and technology, sustainable development of fuel and Energy sector.
The participants in REW 2023 discussed the formation of global prices for energy supplies and raw materials, the outlook for the oil industry, and the climate agenda were discussed, it’s learnt.
At the sidelines of the forum, Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Sergei N. Shulginov, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation on 12 October 2023 and exchanged views in further enhancing the cooperation between two countries in energy sector.
