Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives delegation led by Member of Government of Saint Petersburg, Chairman of Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg of Russian Federation

Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr. Grigoriev Evgeny Dmitrievich, Member of the Government of Saint Petersburg, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg of Russian Federation, at the parlour of SAC Chairman’s Office in the afternoon of 19 October 2023.

Present together with the Senior General were Joint SAC Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and Deputy Minister U Lwin Oo. Mr. Grigoriev Evgeny Dmitrievich was accompanied by delegation members and officials of the Russian Embassy.

At the call, views on promotion of friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, cementing of the ongoing cooperation in multiple sectors including education, health and tourism sectors, education exchange program in higher learning sector, opening of consulates in Russia to enhance diplomatic relations between the two countries, the twinning of a town in St. Petersburg region, Russia, and a town in Myanmar as sister cities, exchange programs for cultural and religious sectors, and trade and tourism promotion were exchanged in a cordial atmosphere.

After the call, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Mr. Grigoriev Evgeniy Dmitrievich exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for documentary photos together with attendees.

During its visit to Myanmar from 18 October 2023 to 24 October 2023, of the Russian Delegation led by Mr. Grigoriev Evgeniy Dmitrievich had the meetings with Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, UMFCCI, Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar) and Defence Services Academy.
